Trying to find the perfect wrapping paper, cut it perfectly, and wrap up gifts for your loved ones can be a challenge, especially if you find yourself short on paper or ideas to make those gifts special. Sherborn Library’s Wrapathon is a free event that has all you need for wrapping presents for that special someone!

For some, hiding presents and finding time to wrap them where kids won’t see can be impossible. The Community Room became a Santa’s workshop of sorts where community members could bring their presents and wrap them in the paper provided, or to try their hand at crafting so every gift can be unique!

Along with rolls of wrapping paper that have anything from Christmas colored plaid to character art, Sherborn library also provides crafting materials to make plain wrapping paper unique! One of the tables was covered in stamps with the alphabet and all sorts of images to place on the plain wrapping paper and make your own pattern!

Even gift bags can be special here! One of the tables held a fun craft; you took a plain paper bag and a white paint pen, and turn it into a gingerbread house! It makes for a fun and easy way to pack up those smaller gifts, or for a gift swap!

Beyond just wrapping presents, the Wrapathon had crafts too in case you wanted to hang out. With clear ornament halves, some fake snow, and markers, you could make a snowman ornament to add to your tree! They also provided snacks, hot chocolate with plenty of marshmallows, and candy canes while playing holiday music to really get into the Christmas spirit!

The Sherborn Wrapathon provided everything you needed to wrap everything under your tree. It made a safe space to hide gifts from young prying eyes, and saved people from running to the store for last minute paper and bags! Next year, make sure your holiday to-do list includes hitting up the event.
