Medfield’s Erin Seibel (field hockey, basketball, lacrosse) and Jaimee Hirschfeld (soccer, indoor/outdoor track) have been two of the more dominant athletes in the TVL over the course of the last four years.
On Monday, the two Warrior elites made their futures official by signing their National Letters of Intent to play a collegiate sport, with Seibel heading to UMass for lacrosse and Hirschfeld heading to Assumption for track.
Seibel, a due-to-be senior captain of Medfield girls basketball this winter and girls lacrosse later this spring, as well as a two-time TVL All-Star, will keep her family’s tradition of lacrosse excellence alive in Amherst; her cousins, Danny Seibel (Villanova), Teddy Darcey (Penn State), and Connor Darcey (Penn State) all went on to play Division I lacrosse.
Hirschfeld, a TVL All-Star in track each of the last three years, holds the Medfield school record in the 200-meter (27.52), set at the Division III state championships last May. Hirschfeld also helped the Medfield 4x400 relay team to a second-place finish (4:08.97) at the 2018 Division III state championships.
