The Westwood Public Library (WPL) successfully hosted its inaugural Adult Holiday Season Book Swap on Tuesday evening in the Main Library's Community Meeting Room.

The event invited community members to bring 1-5 gently used adult or young adult books in good condition. Participants left with new-to-you titles to read or gift, ensuring a completely no-cost way to refresh personal libraries and find holiday presents.

To foster a festive atmosphere, the library provided hot cocoa, played cozy holiday music, and set up a wrapping paper station for those wishing to wrap their newly acquired books.

"We had so much fun," library staff shared in a statement. "Thank you to everyone who came with armfuls of books and left with new armfuls of books."

The event was well-received, marking a successful new addition to the library's holiday programming and providing a sustainable, community-centered way for adults to share the joy of reading this season.
