The Westwood Young Women’s Club (WYWC) sponsored a Bluey Party (for real life) at the Westwood Public Library (WPL) for families and children of all ages.
Bluey, a six year old blue heeler, and the titular character of the popular Australian children’s television show “Bluey,” traveled all the way to Westwood for a fun-filled day.
Children were invited to enjoy all of their favorite parts of the television show through a variety activities offered at this event; such as “keepy-uppy” where children have to keep a balloon in the air for as long as possible, crafting puppets to create their own version of “Unicorse,” a rude and silly puppet who frequents the Heeler residences, as well as other crafty and creative activities.
Families were welcomed to take part in a meet and greet with Bluey herself, which children delighted in. The young attendees were excited to show off their Bluey t-shirts and Bluey themed outfits, as well as their handcrafted dog ears that they created at the event.
It was a day of joy for everyone that entered the wonderful world of Bluey. The Westwood Public Library gave their thanks to the WYWC for sponsoring this fulfilled event.
