The Boston Globe announced recently recognized its 2019-2020 class of All-Scholastic and conference All-Star recipients.
From Dover-Sherborn, junior point guard Evan Skeary was named a TVL All-Star. Skeary will be a returning captain for his senior season next winter.
Senior captain Rabi Armany of Medfield was also named a TVL All-Star. Armany helped lead Big Blue to a big turnaround season in 2019-2020, as the program improved by six wins (9-11) and fell just one game shy of qualifying for the state tournament.
Junior captain Jack Connell of Walpole was named a Bay State Conference All-Star.
From Wellesley, senior forward Tate Blasco was named a TVL All-Star.
Westwood junior guard James McGowan was named TVL MVP and Globe All-Scholastic after shooting home a ridiculous 95 3-pointers throughout the regular season (48 percent shooting). McGowan averaged 20 points per game while helping the Wolverines to a 20-2 regular season record and the No. 2 seed in Division II South. Also recognized from Westwood were senior forward Pat Reilly and senior forward/guard Favor Wariboko as TVL All-Stars.
Senior guard Will Dorion of Needham was named Globe All-Scholastic and Bay State Conference MVP after leading the Rockets to a 16-4 record and the No. 4 seed in Division I South. Senior forward Jacob Hammermesh and junior guard Tim Reidy were also named Bay State Conference All-Stars.
