The Medfield Warriors took to the diamond on Monday, May 20 against the Holliston Panthers for their Senior Night and final home game of the season. From the first pitch, the Warriors fought hard to honor graduating seniors and captains Kaelyn Larkin and Caroline Seitz. Medfield utilized a fifth-inning comeback to win 8-2 over the Panthers.

Larkin started on the mound,  holding her own as a pitcher. She allowed four hits in the first inning, giving Holliston their two runs for the entire game.Medfield responded with a single run in the first and began to assert dominance in the third. After executing a double play at the top of the third, they scored another run in the bottom to tie the game going into the fourth inning.

The fifth inning was decisive for the Warriors. Sophomore Lindsay Barrett hit a triple off a bunt, bringing in a run. Larkin followed with a two-run home run. The Warriors entered the sixth inning leading 8-2 over the Panthers. The final two innings tested both pitchers and infields as the Panthers attempted a comeback but ultimately failed to score. The Warriors walked away with a secured playoff spot.

Following the game, Senior Night traditions commenced with Larkin and Seitz being honored by their team and coaches. The coaches spoke about their experiences coaching the two and what lies ahead for them after graduation. After the speeches, the seniors traveled the bases, collecting flowers, signed softballs, buckets of candy, and balloons from their younger teammates. Two younger players, including Kendall Larkin, Kaelyn's younger sister, gave speeches highlighting the seniors' contributions to the team and how much they will be missed.

The Medfield Warriors look forward to playing against Hopkinton on May 22 and Attleboro on May 23, as well as the upcoming playoffs. They ended their home games with a 7-3 record and celebrated a memorable ceremony honoring their graduating seniors.
