A host of students from the Dover-Sherborn Middle School have been spending their time out of school this winter on the slopes, and they’ve been racing down the hills at a pretty good speed.

At the U-12 level, Garrett Theberge, Charlie Stuart, Charlie Hoffman, Luke Sveen, Will Doyle and Ethan Sveen all qualified for and competed in the New Hampshire State Championships at Ragged Mountain, while Emma Gonsalves did the same on the girls’ side of things.

Caroline Hoffman, Luke Theberge and Addie Atwood also competed at Ragged Mountain, as did Jack Theberge at the U-14 level.

These skiers represent three different teams: Canmore Race Team, Waterville Valley Race Team (BBTS) and Loon Race Team.

In order to qualify for the state championships, racers must finish in the top 20 percent of their division in the regular season.
