Forty-four students from Needham’s classical ballet school, Charles River Ballet Academy, will perform on the Needham Town Hall stage on December 31 at 1:30 p.m. as part of New Years Needham.

The performance will feature classical pieces from "Sleeping Beauty," "Graduation Ball," and "Giselle," as well as original choreography to the music of Pachelbel, the "Annie" soundtrack, and Paul Simon. At 45 minutes long, with beautiful costumes, music, and dancing the show is perfect for all ages. Powers Hall at the Needham Town Hall was recently restored to its original historic glory: it has an elevated stage, complete with full stage lighting and great sight-lines.

A $5 button gets you into all activities at New Years Needham. Buttons can be purchased ahead of time or at the door.

Charles River Ballet Academy is directed by Needham native and former professional ballet dancer Emily Hrones Umland.
