New Life brings fun and funds to community

On Saturday, May 13th New Life Furniture Bank hosted its 6th annual 5k Trail Run and Kids Fun Run on the Medfield State Hospital grounds. The event consisted of a Kids Fun Run at 10:00am, and the 5K Trail run, which began at 10:30am. The Bellforge Arts Center hosted a live DJ, food trucks, and other fitness activities to bring fitness to the ‘Forge. It was a beautiful, summer-like day for this festive, fitness-oriented event. It was plain to see that all of the attendees enjoyed the day; from the live music, the activities, and the warm-weather, it really brought the day together and allowed the event to achieve great success.

100% of the funds raised from participants, sponsors and our community will enable New Life to assist over 100 families; proving that this event was a total success. Not only did it bring fun to community members, but it will bring forth assistance to those in need. According to Tod Dimmick, “New Life was excited and inspired by the success of the event this year,” and it was very easy to see why!

New Life would like to say Congratulations to Isaac Popper; Men’s overall winner, and Sophie Riddick; Women’s overall winner. The Trail Run benefits New Life Furniture Bank of MA and its mission to provide gently used household furnishings to individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness.
