Hinkley Pond adventures

On a sizzling summer day, the wishes of a refreshing dip in the water always sound appealing, a chance to escape from the humidity, take a swim, and have an enjoyable day of summer fun. Hinkley Pond is right around the corner to make those hot summer wishes come true. Located right near the center of town, in the midst of Green Street, Hinkley Pond has been a town favorite for many years. It is the perfect place to grab a book, some sunscreen, and a towel to spend the perfect afternoon with friends and family.

Hinkley Pond is full of potential activities to take action on its well-maintained beach, whether you are interested in playing Spike Ball, throwing around a football, or diving into the water, there’s always something to do.

On a recent trip to Hinkley Pond, I spent time admiring all the wonders Hinkley has to offer. There are picnic table spots to eat the quick snack you brought or bought from their snack shack, along with a volleyball set up which is perfect for those who are anxious to play with friends.

I spent time soaking up the sun and saw the swing sets which immediately reminded me of memories of the swings when I was young. Between the playground on the grounds and the swimming pond, hours upon hours of fun can be had on this beautiful property.

The safety of Hinkley Pond is perfect for those with young families as well as there are multiple lifeguards on duty to keep a close eye on those swimming.

Being at Hinkley Pond can be the perfect relaxation getaway that is still near home, without the traveling hassle. The daily admission is seven dollars for residents, and ten dollars for non-residents, an affordable price for the perfect summer day!
