American flags tradition continues in Dover

[ccfic caption-text format="plaintext"]

Dover Eagle Scouts, Nick Barry and Peter Phelan, recently spent Sunday afternoon placing American flags at the grave sites of men and women who served their country in Dover’s Highland Cemetery. Scouts from Troop 1 Dover, in cooperation with the Women’s Legion Auxiliary, Post 209, place flags and flowers at more than five hundred graves of local veterans every year. The Scouts’ next job will be to plant flowers alongside.

Dover’s Memorial Day Observation will be held on Monday, May 30th at 4:00 p.m. at the Dover Town House. The ceremony will take place on the Springdale Avenue side of the Town House. If it is raining, the event will be held inside in the Great Hall.
