Pizza party at Powisset Farm

On April 7th, Powisset Farm hosted a seasonal event called "Peter Rabbit's Pizza Party and Egg Roll," which was sold out. Visitors were able to enjoy the farm's surroundings, visit the rabbits and pigs, hike the trails, explore the farm store, participate in an old-fashioned egg roll, create some spring and Easter themed crafts, and savor delicious, freshly made pizza. The event lasted from noon to 3:00 pm, and the weather was mostly cooperative, with spring finally felt in the air after a mild winter.

Upon arrival, visitors were given a scavenger hunt and given instructions on where to find the egg roll, crafts, animals, and pizza. The egg roll area was beautifully decorated with pinwheels and other seasonal lawn stakes, and participants were given a long spoon and a wooden egg to race against each other. Everyone who participated in the egg roll received a goody bag as a reward.

Despite the wind that picked up later in the afternoon, causing paper plates and napkins to blow around the farm, visitors still enjoyed the play area and farm-fresh brick oven pizza. Powisset Farm also offers other events such as cooking classes, a Preschool Farm Explorers class, a barnyard, hiking trails, a story walk, and a farm store.
