On Friday, November 29, the Dover Police Department (DPD) reported: “At 11:00 hours, Dover Officers responded to Claybrook Road for an unwanted person. Upon arrival, our Officers encountered a male subject armed with a knife, retreated and attempted to deescalate the situation. The subject barricaded himself in the house and mutual aid resources were requested. METROLEC also responded and assisted.”
Later that afternoon, the Dover Police Department then provided the following update to the then ongoing situation: “At around 15:00 hours, one male was taken into custody by METROLEC personnel. There were no injuries to the subject or any police personnel.”
The Dover Police Department expressed their gratitude to the METROLEC and surrounding towns that aided in responding to the incident and assisted, including Needham Police Department, Westwood Police Department, Natick Police Department, Medfield Police Department.
