The October 19 first meeting of The Westwood Woman's Club 2017-18 season opened with retired president Peg Loughnane inducting new officers: President Margaret Rustrian, Vice President Marion Plaisted, Secretary Susan Scales and Co-Treasurers Betty Connors and Mary Ruth Geishecker. Member Barbara Hayes welcomed three new members, Myrna Brasie, Maria Ruggieri, and Mary Joyce. Former treasurer Rose DiMattia was also recognized for her long service.

The meeting was dedicated to recently deceased members Claire Bogrette and two-time preesident Virginia Lester.
The co-hostesses, Claire Asbrand and Helen Burrill, along with their committee of Betty Connors, Mary Ruth Geishecker and Mary Mahoney, created an inviting and delicious autumn dessert table.
