Students in the Sheehan School’s drama program premiered its spring musical production of “Shrek Junior” on May 6.
With a cast of over 70 fourth and fifth grade Sheehan students and countless volunteers, both parents and Sheehan students and students from other schools helped come together to make the production a success.
Led by Sheehan fifth grade teacher Christy Harrison and Westwood High senior and drama student Carley Stebbins, the production featured three performances last weekend.
The musical is based on the Shrek series of animated films, and features many familiar characters including Shrek the orge, Fiona and a wise-cracking donkey.
The performance featured a large cast of fairytale creatures along with the main cast and delivered a humorous fairytale performance.
This year’s leading roles included Jude Vamenta as the Donkey, Alex Mansour as Shrek and Lillie Doherty as Fiona.
