Innovative photographer Kira Seamon is set to bring her "Stained Glass Sky" kaleidoscope photography exhibit to Westwood through June.
Kira's traveling art exhibit is very popular and booked now in 18 libraries in the Boston-Metro area, including Wellesley, Dedham, Dover, Walpole, Medfield, Needham, Weston, Westwood, Sharon, Foxborough, Natick, Easton, Millis, Medway, Framingham and Wayland. Her work has garnered significant media support, including 16 cover stories and 31 additional newspaper articles. A four-time grant recipient from the Dedham Cultural Council, Kira's work has also been seen in a recent edition of the Wellesley Weston Magazine, and on the Instagram page of Art New England Magazine. She also exhibited with the Griffin Museum of Photography in their Winter Solstice exhibit in December.
"Stained Glass Sky" showcases Kira's unique fall foliage kaleidoscopic photography of brilliant New England trees. Branches, leaves and bark recombine into fascinating shapes and colors reminiscent of stained glass. She is augmenting this display with stunning "Florida foliage" and her large "Flower Eggs," which are floral photographs she bent into pleasing egg shapes.
Exquisite, very large images of roses and irises round out this botanical exhibition and will leave attendees feeling like they strolled through an otherworldly botanical garden of photography.
