The Elizabeth Seton Residence Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility has announced its Annual Meet the Need Dinner, to be held this year at Wellesley Country Club on Thursday, October 19.

Wellesley native Mr. Salvatore DeFazio, III will be honored at the event in recognition of his lifelong commitment to the Sisters of Charity (Halifax) and the Elizabeth Seton Residence, as well as a long history of exemplary community service. Emcee for the evening will be Wellesley’s own Kelley Tuthill, VP of Communications and Public Relations at Regis College and former WCVB reporter. Entertainment during the cocktail hour will be provided by the well-known Winiker Jazz Trio. Ms. Sunny Lee will provide piano music during dinner. All are welcome and invited to attend.

This event will kick-off a multi-faceted development initiative that centers on ensuring Elizabeth Seton Residence has the financial means to secure a strong future for the skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. “In response to continued demand from hospital case managers, physicians, families and patients from our community seeking 5-star quality rehabilitation close to home, Elizabeth Seton Residence will expand our rehabilitation program, doubling the size of our short-term rehabilitation unit from eight to sixteen private rooms by the end of the year,” commented Lori Ferrante, administrator of Elizabeth Seton Residence. This is just one of the planned initiatives for programmatic growth – others include adding patient care equipment designed with enhanced technology, comfort and safety features. The Residence will be seeking funding from foundations, organizations, and individuals, with a goal of raising $1.1 million by mid-2018.
