On Saturday, May 16, the Wellesley community grieved the MacAusland children at their funeral service, which was held at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
The two children, ages 6 and 7, were found dead in their home back in April after they were allegedly murdered by their mother, Jannette MacAusland.
MacAusland was charged with first-degree murder, and prosecutors allege that she admitted to her aunt that she killed her children after she fled to Vermont.
MacAusland has pleaded not guilty to the murder charges and is currently being held without bail.
Her next court date is scheduled for July 13.
