The Walpole Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and Mick Morgan’s Irish Pub and Restaurant are co-sponsoring the first annual “Helping our Neighbors” 5K run or walk. The event will be held on June 3, with onsite registration at 9:00 a.m. and race start at 10:00. The beautiful course begins at Mick Morgan's Irish Pub, winds primarily along a country road shrouded by massive oaks and bordered by the fairways of Walpole Country Club, turns into a residential neighborhood and then back along the original road to Mick Morgan's where prizes will be awarded. Runners and walkers can pre-register now at www.mm5K4svdp.racewire.com. The first 200 to register will receive a free tee-shirt.
All the proceeds from the event will directly support needy families and individuals in the Walpole area with food, utilities, rent, and other emergency aid. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Walpole is dedicated to assisting those in our community who have nowhere else to turn for help.
