Free fun at the Farm

Earlier this month, families from various locales gathered at Adams Farm for a complimentary afternoon of entertainment. The event was graciously sponsored by the Friends of Adams Farm and generously funded by the Walpole Co-operative Bank. It featured a three-hour concert and delightful face-painting activities for children of all ages. Attendees came prepared with lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks, making the most of this splendid afternoon. Despite the time of year, the Saturday afternoon brought unseasonably warm weather, infusing the atmosphere with a touch of summertime as the sun bathed Adams Farm in its golden light.

The concert opened promptly at noon with a captivating performance by Diandra Doble, a graduate of Anna Maria College with a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy. Doble, a solo acoustic act, showcased her versatile musical styling, as her repertoire spans from the 60s to current hits. This talented, young artist entertained the crowd with a medley of tunes ranging from The Beatles to Taylor Swift. Her set-list included a mash-up of pop and country hits. She closed her performance out with a rendition of Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond, prompting all the guests to sing along.

Next Fiona Campbell took the stage. Campbell, an artist local to Norwood, impressed the crowd with a setlist including rock, pop, jazz and folk tunes. Armed with her acoustic guitar, Campbell was more than prepared when she opened her performance with “And The Radio Played,” by Lady A.

“In case you haven’t noticed, I’m a big country fan. So that’s what most of my set will be,” Campbell shared with the crowd. She gave a stunning rendition of “Any Man of Mine,” by Shania Twain. As a local talent, she has impressively released two albums and several newly launched singles.

Heather Lynn, a solo acoustic performer whose music spans from country to pop, encompassing both original compositions and beloved classics, brought the concert to a memorable close. Lynn has made her mark on the music industry by  releasing three singles on 14 worldwide streaming services since 2020. Her most recent single "Love of Your Life" has gained airtime on radio stations around the world. Lynn captivated the audience at Adams Farm with her vocal prowess, providing the perfect conclusion to this free concert.

The Friends of Adams Farm will host one more Concert in The Barn on Saturday October 7, starting at 12pm. An event not to be missed!
