After dedicating over eight years to the Walpole Council On Aging (COA), cherished Outreach Worker, Laurel St. Pierre, retired from her role in December. Laurel departs with a commendable list of achievements. Throughout her tenure, the COA extended outreach services 35,750 times, benefiting nearly 4,500 distinct seniors.
All COA members are sure to miss the beloved Outreach Worker, as her touch will forever remain imprinted on the inner workings of the South Street Center; such as how staff problem solves and approaches the daily tasks apart of their jobs.
“It is with mixed emotions that I retire from my position as your Outreach Worker here at the Walpole COA. I have enjoyed my time here working with a number of you through joyful and difficult times. We have all grown so much these last few years. Know that you have one of the most compassionate, knowledgeable team players I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Walpole is so lucky to have such a warm, welcoming, safe place to socialize and meet new friends. I wish you all the very best and I will miss you all,” St. Pierre shared.
Kerri McManama shared her insights with COA members, stating: “Thank you to our community for warmly celebrating Laurel in December. It was a wonderful send off and we know she appreciated your presence and kind words. Join us in welcoming Lindsey to her new role as Outreach Worker. She has great experience and skills and we know you are going to enjoy working with her and Jillian for all your Outreach needs.
Lindsey Greener, who served as the COA Program Coordinator for the previous year, is set to join Jillian Nauman in the Outreach Office. Greener, a Licensed Social Worker with 15 years of experience in geriatric case management, will collaborate with Nauman in sharing responsibilities, ensuring coverage of the Outreach Department from Monday through Friday. Despite St. Pierre’s departure, with Greener onboard, Outreach at the South Street Center remains in good hands.
