There will be plenty of family fun in East Walpole as the annual Apple Harvest Fair will be held on September 17 from 10 – 3 p.m. at Union Congregational Church (55 Rhoades Avenue).

This year’s Fair will include a trackless train, midway games, petting zoo, face-painting, touch-a-truck, photo booth and a bouncy house. Fair goers should bring an appetite for hamburgers, hot dogs, cotton candy, homemade apple crisp, and our famous corn and fish chowders.

Visitors can also enjoy shopping for fall mums, pies, breads, homemade jams and jellies. Rooms full of jewelry, china, toys, cookware, and antiques will also be on display for bargain hunters.

No trip to the fair would be complete without stopping by the Silent Auction. With over 275 items, the Auction features Patriots tickets, artwork, restored antique furniture pieces, gift certificates to local merchants, and more.

Besides being all-day fun community event, the Fair is also an important fundraiser with portions of the proceeds going to The Walpole Food Pantry and to Breaking Bread, a service to provide meals to Walpole residents.
