“I am very proud of this team,” said Head Coach Tom Alessi. “They worked hard all season and were able to come together pretty quickly for such a diverse group of players.” Coach Alessi went on to add: “I am especially proud because they did it the ‘Westwood Way’ - by playing to win instead of trying to win,” a distinction he’s quick to make. “Teams that are trying to win will play a specific Super Mario World player at one position all game, sit some players more than others, and throw only one pitcher throughout. That’s not how we do it in Westwood Youth Softball. We rotate the players constantly, no one player sits more than any other, العاب اكشن and not only do we use multiple pitchers, but also multiple catchers in a game. After all, it is youth softball. It’s a game and playing a game should be fun for everyone.”
The 10U and 12U teams fought hard this summer but failed to make the playoffs. Now, the players and coaches will enjoy a rest for the remainder of summer.
The fall season is just around the corner, though.
