Needham Junior Cheer excels at Bay States

On Saturday, October 28, Needham Junior Cheerleading participated in the Bay State/Dual/Tri 2017 Cheerleading competition at Bellingham High School.

Needham Jr. Cheer B and E2-squads captured first place titles in their respective divisions. Needham Jr. Cheer A, C, and D squads captured third place titles.

A-squad moves on to States, which will be held on November 5 at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium. If A-squad finishes first, second, or third at this competition, they will move on to Regionals later in November, where they will have a shot at winning a spot in Nationals, held in Florida in December.

“We are so proud of all of our squads and their performances at competition.” said Lesley Sugarman, Needham Junior Cheer Coordinator. “A great deal of hard work and dedication goes in to preparing for this. It’s so rewarding to see the girls come together as a team and perform on the mat. They did an amazing job representing our town.”
