Calling all Medfield residents and anyone else for that matter. Open to everyone!

On Saturday, April 9 at the American Legion on Peter Kristof Way, the Medfield High (MHS) Alumni Association will host its fifth annual Trivia Night, a fundraiser for the scholarships given out every spring to graduating Medfield High seniors.

This year’s scholarships will be given in honor of long time MHS teachers Marty Salka and Bernie Shea. Previous scholarships were given in memory of, Estelle Stahl, Susan Pope, Madeline Greene, George Callahan and Andrea Trasher.

Both Mr. Salka and Mr. Shea are celebrating their 50th year in the Medfield Public Schools. While both have officially retired, they continue to work at Medfield High in a variety of capacities including as substitute teachers, cafeteria supervisor and as the assistant cross-country coach.

This year’s Spring Fling will give you a chance to match wits with Medfield natives, out-of-towners, MHS Alumni and newcomers alike! The event will kick off at 7 p.m., and the game will begin at 7:30. The last round will end at 10:15 p.m.

Cash prizes will be given to tables placing first, second, and third. If purchased in advance of the day of the event, the cost of each ticket will be $20 or $150 for a table of 10. On the night of the event, the cost of each ticket will be $25 or $200 for a table of 10.

Discount-priced tickets may be purchased ahead of time, while regular-priced tickets will be sold at the door. You may purchase a table for you and your classmates or friends, or you may purchase a single ticket and sit at a table with other singles.

Tables are encouraged to join in the new tradition of table-gating, where tables bring their own theme foods. This year’s theme is Spring Fling.  Otherwise snacks will be provided and the Legion’s cash bar will be open.

Tickets will be on sale at Park Street Books and Toys on Main St., by emailing Georganne Iverson at georg8069@aol.com, or by mailing a check to MHSAA, 38 Spring St., Medfield, MA 02052.

Trivia will cover a wide range of topics, including arts and entertainment, TV, sports, geography, news and current events, pop culture and local Medfield history. Don’t get left out! It will be a great night to socialize or meet new people...a reunion of sorts.

For more information, contact any of the MHS Alumni Association members: Georganne Iverson, Paul and Marie DeLuca, Richard DeSorgher, Ron Gustavson, Nancy Kelly-Lavin, Bob Meaney, Bill Kingsbury, or Sarah (Cain) Brown; or visit www.medfieldhighschoolalumni.org.
