Medfield High School Theatre will be performing the play "The Snow Queen" on October 27 at 7 p.m. and October 28 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., at MHS’s Lowell Mason Auditorium. The script, written by Tyler J. Monroe and adapted from the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, follows a brave and kind young girl named Gerda as she tries to rescue her friend Kai from The Snow Queen, an evil enchantress with the power to control winter. Gerda makes many friends on her journey and encounters fantastical creatures who help her find her way to Kai.

The production is sure to captivate all ages but will hold special appeal for young children. Audience participation and a unique craft activity during intermission will allow young theatre-goers to aid Gerda on her quest. "The Snow Queen" will be MHS’s first theatrical production under the direction of Ms. Andrea McCoy, the high school’s new theatre club director. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.ticketstage.com/T/MEDFIELDHS. While remaining tickets will be sold at the door, many previous MHS productions have sold out. It is strongly recommended to buy online in advance of the show.
