After two weeks of canceled shows due to extreme weather, M.E.M.O's Summer Concert series is back in full swing. The grass beside the library was filled with people of all ages listening to the musical stylings of Route 109.
Route 109, a Medfield-based band, covers all types of music. With their self-proclaimed eclectic sets, there was something for everyone in attendance. Route 109 has been performing around Medfield for over a decade and has gained a well-deserved fan base. They cover a wide range of tunes from Amy Winehouse to Green Day, making sure to offer something for everyone.
The band captured everyone's attention and held it for their entire set. Kids danced in front of the stage while others played tag in the grass. M.E.M.O invites families to picnic while they listen to live music. As the evening progressed, more and more people filled the grass. Route 109 is one of the most popular acts in Medfield and is a can't-miss next time they are in town.
M.E.M.O hosts a weekly concert on the lawn outside of the library every Thursday all summer long. The series was slated to start a few weeks ago, but after rain and intense heat, it finally kicked off on July 11, 2024. These concerts are family-friendly and offer an evening out for Medfield locals. Music starts at 6 p.m. and wraps up around 8 p.m., making it the perfect after-work pit stop.
Throughout the summer, M.E.M.O will be offering five more concerts, running through August 15, featuring various genres of music. Local musicians will play rock, jazz, children’s songs, and more, ensuring there is an act for everyone.
Hopefully, the weather holds out for the rest of the shows, but details regarding cancellations can be found on Instagram @medfieldmemo and Facebook. All of the M.E.M.O summer concerts are sure to be a huge hit for all ages, and they welcome all audiences to come and groove along.
