St. Dunstan’s announces ‘Zooming deeper’ series

St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church is inviting members of the public to participate in a weekly series of five online "Zooming deeper" discussions on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:00, focusing on the rich literary tradition of Christian poetry.

Almost all of the greatest poets in English literature have contributed at least occasional verses to this tradition; almost all were Anglicans. Some - for example, John Donne - were ordained clergy. Many of their works have been put to music in now-familiar hymns and anthems.

Yet remarkably, this great body of material has not been accorded its value in Christian education programs. This is an opportunity to discover and appreciate some of the most eloquent, moving, memorable and powerful experiences and expressions of the Christian faith.

As usual with st. Dunstan's programs, all are warmly welcomed to participate. Those interested in joining are asked to email Fr. Sean Leonard at revsean@saintdunstansma.org. Dates and times of upcoming discussions will be Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:00: April 30, May 7, May 14, May 21 and May 28. St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church is located at 18 Springdale Avenue, in Dover.
