Sherborn’s serenity: Farm Pond

Sherborn has many beautiful qualities of town whether it’s to take a stroll along town, stop in at the library, or even hang out during the day by the water. Farm Pond in Sherborn is the perfect place to sit down and soak up the suns warm rays before the darker days of autumn finally fall upon us. There is plenty to do for everyone, no matter the age.

Soft sand awaits by the water a perfect spot to bring the family, lay down a few towels, and in the midst of the summertime, guests are able to make the day out of swimming in the life-guarded areas of the pond. If lounging around the beach gets too mundane for your adventurous personality, there are still more opportunities for fun on the horizon at Farm Pond. With a boating dock to the left and a place to take out paddle boards, teenagers and adults can travel out beyond the buoyed waters of the pond.

A member of the Sherborn community Emily Thomas often goes to Farm Pond with her family and loves to catch up with friends on the beach side of the pond. “We normally come a few times a week over the summer. I like that when we come, we normally run into people that we know, I think it’s the best part. You don’t have to plan anything with friends when you come here, you just know you are going to find somebody, and your kids are going to find someone to play with. It’s small enough where it doesn’t feel super crowded, for the older kids like my daughter, she likes to go paddle boarding, and I can see her from the beach, which is great, said Thomas.

A quick escape from the business of life, Farm Pond is a beautiful area, with a wonderful view, to relax and enjoy quality time in the great outdoors. Go check out Farm Pond, you can find out more information at https://www.sherbornma.org/node/4863.
