Thanksgiving is a veritable font of leftovers, yielding sandwiches, soups, and microwaved dinners for days, sometimes weeks, to come. But what about the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving? The Sherborn Library made sure to provide some delicious snacks before the gluttonous holiday through a drop-in Thanksgiving trail mix making session. A scoop of Chex, candy pumpkins, goldfish, and pretzels resulted in a yummy treat.
In addition to the trail mix, the library provided materials to make crafts, including paper turkeys and Thanksgiving cards. One little girl decided to make a card for every person in her family, made on construction paper with feathers, squares of colorful tissue paper, scribbled on with a myriad of different colored markers.
This is the third year the library has offered this particular activity. Kids dropped-in throughout the day, resulting overall in an exceptionally good turnout.
