KJ’s Con, a busy, local, pop, rock, and country duo, played chart-topping hits in the dining room at the Heritage of Sherborn on Friday, June 9th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The musical duo consists of Kara Curnane Joseph, from Medfield, who is a powerful vocalist, and Connor Lynch, from Norwood, who is a talented guitarist. KJ’s Con has been playing at local venues since 2021. This was their first appearance at Heritage of Sherborn, which was such a treat for the local attendees.

With an upbeat, light sound, and a fun group of current hits, KJ’s Con eased dining patrons from work into the weekend. Kara’s beautiful, expressive voice and animated performance was accompanied by Connor’s able guitar playing. With their varied list of songs, the performance was enjoyed by diners of diverse age groups. Among the covers on their list were “Wagon Wheel” by Darius Rucker, “Tim McGraw” by Taylor Swift, “Summer of ‘69” by Bryan Adams, “Can’t Help Falling in Love with You” by Elvis Presley, and “Cowboy Cassanova” by Carrie Underwood.

Kara studied music at New Music Academy for four years and attended a program at Berklee College of Music. She is currently studying guitar with Ryan Oakes of Medway. Connor studied guitar with Michael Bottari for seven years.

When asked about their experience at the Heritage of Sherborn, Kara said, “Connor and I are honored to have played at the Heritage of Sherborn. We had a marvelous time! The overwhelming level of support we have been fortunate enough to receive has been nothing short of inspiring. The unwavering presence of our friends and family, rallying together to cheer us on, is a priceless gift that touches us to the core.”

The Heritage of Sherborn’s relaxed, country setting and décor was comfortable and cozy. The dining room had a mix of a large high-top table and low dining tables. Heritage also has a separate pub and outdoor seating on their lawn and patio. Diners enjoyed a seasonal menu with farm fresh local ingredients.
