A group of Girl Scouts welcomed back Farm Day in Sherborn last Sunday, as several farms opened their doors and invited the public to learn more about farms in their backyards. Several farms, including Dowse’s Farm, Sweet Meadow Farm and Sunshine Dairy participated in the Farm Day.

The farms offered fun activities for kids as well as an opportunity for residents to learn about how the farms operate and give back to the community. Those that attended learned a number of interesting things about the farms that operate right in their backyards.

The Farm Day was organized by Emma Stiller, Jordyn Devellis and Amanda Dye for their Girl Scout Silver Award project. The group spent over 50 hours researching the history of farming in Sherborn, and after getting help from the Historical Society, the group decided to host the Farm Day.
