Exploring paranormal hotspots at the DTL

New England is a massive hotspot for paranormal and cryptozoology which is why the Dover Town Library (DTL) invited Ronny Le Blanc to speak on these phenomena. This talk covered the first-hand experiences of many locals and where some of these close-to-home portals to the paranormal may be.

Le Blanc is a dedicated researcher of Bigfoot, UFOs and the paranormal. He hails from Leominster and has experienced countless first-hand accounts of things that should not exist, but do. Le Blanc has worked on several Travel Channel shows including “Expedition Bigfoot” and “Paranormal Caught on Camera” and has released two books in a series called “Monsterland”.

The talk started with a discussion of NASA's confirmed magnetic fields which many believe are portals to other dimensions. These dimensions contain what many believe to be aliens, Sasquatch’s, spirits, thunderbirds and so much more. Many of these portals are across the country such as Skinwalker Ranch in Utah and many spots in the Washington forests. These portals tend to line up with military bases.

There are some more local spots such as the Bennington Triangle in Vermont where there are historical sightings of bigfoot-like creatures and UFOs. Vermont is known as the UFO capital of New England and has its own cryptid Champ in Lake Champlain. Even closer to home is the Bridgewater Triangle which is filled with mystical beings of all sorts. Hockomock Swamp is known as “where the spirits dwell” and Profile Rock in Freetown are both swarmed by reports of paranormal encounters. These triangle areas are known for occult activity and are plagued by reports of unknown beings, orbs of light, UFOs and more.

The closest to home cryptid is the Dover Demon, a strangely shaped creature seen three times in the 1970s and never again. This creature has been reported to have a large melon-shaped head and glowing eyes. While only spotted by teenagers this being has been classified the same way Moth Man, Bigfoot and other unknown beings have as cryptids. Many believe sightings of these creatures mean tragedy is coming, so maybe it’s a good thing the Dover Demon has been dormant.  Other cryptids around New England include pukwudgies, dog men, giant snakes, the Gloucester sea serpent and countless spirits.

The paranormal hot spots conversation was a wonderful way to kick off the fall season. Le Blanc listened to stories from those in the audience of their own experiences with the unexplainable and encouraged everyone to keep an eye out for their own experiences with these creatures.
