Dover Foundation presenting ‘Guys & Dolls’

The Dover Foundation is celebrating 70 years with “Guys & Dolls,” their 2017 Spring Musical, which will be performed May 4, 5, 6 and 7 at Mudge Auditorium.

“Guys & Dolls” was performed by the Dover Foundation in 1963, 1983 and 2003, and this year will see many of those involved in previous productions return and join newcomers on stage in a fantastic rendition of this well-loved classic.

Returning to the Dover Foundation stage this year is Jessica Somol as Adelaide. Audiences loved Jessica as Nancy in the Dover Foundation's production of “Oliver” in 2014. Also returning from the cast of “Oliver” is Jim Nail, who played Mr. Sowerbury; Jim will play Nathan Detroit. From the cast of “Pirates,” The Dover Foundation welcomes back Jim Braunstein as Sky Masterson and Gabrielle Jacques as Sarah Brown.

This year's production also includes returning “Pirates” cast members Greg White as Benny Southstreet and Geoff Herman in the role of Rusty Charlie. The third member of the famous "Fugue For Tinhorns" trio is Ethan Butler, who will make his Dover Foundation debut as Nicely Nicely Johnson.

Rehearsals are well under way for this very talented cast of 50 guys and dolls under the direction of Sheridan Miller, who also directed the 2003 production.
