The Holidays are rapidly approaching and decorating one’s home for each occasion is a special challenge, as Thanksgiving is quickly followed by Christmas and New Year’s. But some help is available. At the November 7 meeting of the Boggestow Garden Club of Sherborn, Betty Sanders will provide some time and money-saving tips on creating basic designs that can easily carry through all the holidays. Neighbors and friends are invited to attend without charge. The meeting will be held in Room 204A of Sherborn Town Hall, 19 Washington St. at 10 a.m. with refreshment at 9:30.
Sanders will demonstrate how basic designs can be made primarily from greens that are readily available from yards. These designs can then be made to fit each holiday with just a few easy changes - for example, changing seasonal ornaments or flowers. She will start by building the basic arrangement and then look at the various ways to alter it to make it appropriate for each holiday.
