There are few high school sports in Massachusetts that crown a true statewide champion across all divisions. Golf is one of those sports and the Walpole girls’ golf team are the state champions of 2026.
This was an amazing accomplishment for a program that has only existed at Walpole for seven years and it wasn’t close. The state championship was held Monday June 1 at Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston.
Senior Tori Adams was the low Walpole finisher with an 85 which included a birdie on the par 3 seventh hole and nine pars. Adams finished 13th overall in the entire state in the individual competition.
Freshwoman Jackie Keefe added a 91 notching two birdies on the par 5 second hole and the par 4 sixth hole.
Senior Juliet Massey shot 95 while birdieing the fifth hole which is a par 3.

Sophomore Deanna Nosal and senior Gretchen Connolly shot 97’s. Nosal’s was included in the final team score which only includes the top four team scorers. Connolly carded two birdies on the outward nine’s par 3s.
Those best four scores added up to a 368 and an 17 stroke victory over Hopkinton High School. Five of the six teams competing were bunched closely together with their final scores. The Walpole four blew them all away with a huge margin of victory.
The state championship was on top of the third consecutive Division 3 sectional championship the girls won the previous week at Foxborough Country Club.
Congratulations to all of the girls’ on their incredible success over the past few years. Led by head coach Vivian Kolovos and assistant coach Beth Wohler, they have set a high bar for Lady Timb teams that succeed them.
