Wolverines finish up regular season

The baseball team is currently the 19th-seeded team in D2 with a 10–7 record. On Sunday, they beat Plymouth South 6–1 for their 11th win. They will play their final two games on the road, at Holliston (10–8, 33rd in D2) on Sunday and Ashland (9–7, 21st) on Wednesday. Last year the Wolverines were the 9th seed and made it to the final 8 before falling to Plymouth North (this year 11–5, 16th in D1).

Westwood softball is currently the 45th seed in D2 with a 4–10 record and 38 teams qualifying last season. They will have played Holliston (1–13, 49th in D2) on Monday and Ashland (13–4, 27th in D2) on Wednesday, both on the road. Then on Friday, the Wolverines will play their final game against Fontbonne (4–10, 45th in D3) at Cunningham Park in Milton at 4:00.

Girls’ lacrosse is currently the 8th seed in D2 with a 10–6 record. Last year they were the 3rd seed and made it to the semifinals, where they were knocked out by Walpole (this year 14–1, 1st in D2). They will have played their final two games this week, both at home. First, on Monday against Holliston (7–9, 32nd in D3), then on Wednesday against Ashland (8–8, 34th in D2).

The boys’ lacrosse team is also in a good position, with the 10th seed in D2 and a 14–2 record. Last year, they were also the 10th seed and made it to the semifinals before falling to Reading Memorial (currently 14–2 and 3rd in D2). They will play Ashland (3–12, 38th in D2) at 5:00 on Thursday and Walpole (13–3, 9th in D2) at 6:00 on Friday, both on the road.

Girls’ tennis is at the 9th seed with an 11–3 record. Last season they were also the 9th seed and were knocked out by Milton (this year 8–2, 5th seed in D2). They will have played their final two games both at home, Holliston (8–5, 18th in D2) on Monday and Ashland (2–11, 45th in D2) on Wednesday.

Boys’ tennis is currently the 30th seed with a 7–6 record and 36 teams qualifying last year, when they were the 12th seed and were knocked out by Wayland (this year 6–6, 2nd in D3). They will have had a busy start to the week, on the road at Holliston (5–6, 38th in D3) on Monday, at home playing Xaverian (13–3, 17 in D1) on Tuesday, and at Ashland (5–7, 33rd in D2) on Wednesday.

The TVL Track & Field Showcase will have taken place on Tuesday at Norton, the girls and boys both with 3–2 records.

Boys’ volleyball is the 35th seed with a 5–10 record. They will have played Boston United (12–6) on the road on Monday and then Norton (11–5, 20th in D2) at home on Wednesday.
