Raiders fight hard in rivalry game

Dover Sherborn and Medfield took to the gridiron to continue their 57 year tradition of Thanksgiving morning football on a rainy Medfield High School turf last Thursday. Despite a hard fought effort, the Warriors proved too much for the Raiders squad with a 35-0 win, taking home the annual Turkey Bowl trophy.

The Raiders had their hands full dealing with Medfield’s impressive running attack that proved too difficult to stop in tough weather conditions. Junior Bobby Olsen took home defensive MVP honors and junior quarterback Ronan Sullivan was awarded the offensive MVP trophy for the Raiders.

Earlier in the week, the Dover Sherborn coaches and seniors continued the long standing tradition of visiting with rival Medfield’s seniors at Medfield high school for the annual sportsmanship breakfast.
