Mayberry to play Adams Farm Sunday

Sunday, August 19, at 1 p.m., the Friends of Adams Farm presents a free concert at Adams Farm featuring Mayberry, an acoustic duo hailing from Mansfield. Attendees are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets and their own food and drink to enjoy this second free concert of the Music in the Barn summer series at the Farm, located at 99 North Street in Walpole.

Mayberry founding members Rob Bowers and BJ Knights trade off on vocal and guitar duties, covering hits from the 60s through modern pop radio, with an emphasis on maintaining a high level of musicianship as well as a providing a fun atmosphere for fans of all ages.

Both Rob and BJ took up the guitar in their early teens and played with various bands during high school. They joined forces for the first time back in the early 2000s, when they were both students at Stonehill College, and have been playing together steadily ever since.

Growing up on 80s and 90s rock, Rob and BJ have played all over New England for the greater part of the last 15 years, most recently with frequent shows at the Chieftain Pub in Plainville, Fireside Grille in Middleboro, and Barrett's Alehouse in Bridgewater.
