On August 5, 2023, The Friends of Adams Farm, in collaboration with Walpole Co-Operative Bank, hosted a complimentary concert at Adams Farm, featuring two bands that provided a delightful afternoon of outdoor entertainment. The event unfolded against the charming backdrop of the property's iconic red barn, offering attendees a perfect weekend outdoor activity.

The inaugural performance featured the duo Friends of Ledge, consisting of Chris DeChristopher and Bo Kennedy. Their hour-long set enveloped the audience in a soothing ambiance of easy-listening music, featuring classics like "Brown Eyed Girl" and "On the Road Again". The musicians fostered an intimate connection with the crowd through their laughter and jests between songs, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Subsequently, The Dane Street Project took the stage around 1 p.m. for a two-hour performance, further accentuating the easy-listening vibe. Comprising Dean Bagdasarian, Jean Robinson, and Peter Wieselquist, the band commenced with a track from Crosby, Stills, and Nash, subsequently treating the audience to a repertoire of beloved older rock songs. Their rendition of Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain" particularly resonated with the attendees, showcasing the band's ability to gauge and satisfy the crowd's preferences. The band's banter and interaction with the audience, including accommodating a fan's song suggestion, underscored their engagement.

The entertainment wasn't confined to music alone. A face painter adorned participants of all ages with captivating designs, enhancing the overall experience.

The warm weather drew a sizable crowd to Adams Farm, with many visitors strolling along the property's scenic paths while also taking in the concert. The tranquil ambiance and blooming gardens provided an idyllic backdrop, complementing the musical performances.

The Friends of Adams Farm extend their heartfelt gratitude to all attendees and acknowledge the Walpole Co-Operative Bank for their pivotal sponsorship, which made the event possible. The successful concert not only showcased remarkable musical talent but also highlighted the strong sense of community at Adams Farm.
