“Going Too Fast,” Westwood author Lynne Viti’s debut work of fiction, was released on March 31 by Finishing Line Press of Lexington, KY. This collection of short stories and flash fiction takes the reader back to the 1960's and '70's and the adolescence and early adulthood of women in that era. Catholic school, teenage rebellion, sex and drugs and rock and roll - all find their way into these interlocking stories of "good Catholic girls" in a time of social and political upheaval, the breaking down of old traditions and the making of new ones.
Viti’s reading at the Islington branch of the Westwood Public Library, originally set for this month, will be rescheduled for a later date in the fall, as will readings at Wellesley Books.
