Westwood resident Feargal O’Regan will head on an all-expenses paid trip for two to Ireland. O’Regan was one of two winners of the WROL 950AM “Irish Idol” contest, held on Saturday in Marina Bay as part of the station’s 50th anniversary celebration.
The “Irish Idol” competition featured over 50 non-professional musicians who submitted an audio clip. Three final contestants were given the chance to perform live at WROL’s 50th Anniversary event in Quincy. After the crowd deemed a two-way tie for first place, a second grand prize trip to Ireland, which includes airfare, a hotel, car rental and tour of Ireland for two, was generously awarded.
