On December 4, David Burke, Nathaniel Reynolds and Kyle Simon became Westwood’s newest Eagle Scouts. In addition to earning at least 21 merit badges, each Scout also conceived and completed a service project in order to attain the rank of Eagle. For his project, David Burke participated in the Veterans History Project through the Library of Congress.
Nathaniel Reynolds, meanwhile, built a 100-foot walking trail behind the Mother Brook Arts & Community Center in Dedham. Kyle Simon, for his part, spearheaded a project to benefit Fruitful Offerings, a local non-profit organization which works with the Dedham Food Pantry to offer nutrition education programs to families who are clients of the Food Pantry.
