Hale Reservation’s second annual Paint Night will take place on Thursday, March 10 from 7-9 p.m. at Powissett Lodge.
Participants can pick up a brush to create a custom designed finish line painting for a great cause. Over 50 percent of all ticket sales will support the runners’ fundraising efforts. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit www.halereservation.org.
This Paint Night fundraiser will support the 2016 Team Summer Learning Boston Marathon Team, in partnership with Courageous Sailing. This year’s team consists of runners all over the country with the common goal of raising funds for the Summer Learning Project (SLP).
SLP is a partnership between Hale, the Boston Public Schools (BPS) and Boston After School and Beyond. Since 2011, the program was initially part of a multi-city summer learning study funded by the Wallace Foundation. The five week program mixes academic programming taught by BPS teachers with traditional summer camp activities in 78 separate organizations.
