Westwood Recycling Day 10/17

The Westwood Department of Public Works and the Westwood Environmental Action Committee (WEAC) have announced Westwood Recycling Day. On Saturday, October 17, residents of Westwood can bring some of their household items to Public Works (50 Carby Street) to be recycled.

Residents interested in dropping off items are asked to pay using cash or check to pay for the handling. Televisions of all sizes can be dropped off for $25 each, while computer monitors can be dropped off for $15 each. Residents can bring large appliances, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers for $10. Tires can be rolled in for $2. For free, residents can drop off large plastic items (including lawn chairs, toys, and coolers), clean clothing textiles, video games, stuffed animals, backpacks, and luggage, and scrap metal.
