Westwood Recreation holding March into Summer event

Westwood Recreation will host its annual March into Summer event at Westwood High on March 12 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

A number of activities will be offered for kids and families. The pool will be open and will include open swimming, lap swimming, a cannon ball contest at 12 p.m. Westwood Recreation staff will lead basketball games and other sports in the gym.

Large inflatables will be set up in the gym for kids to bounce and jump around in. Arts and crafts will also be available. Food and drinks will be for sale as well.

For parents, March into Summer will feature a number of workshops and informational sessions about Westwood Recreation’s summer programs. Parents can learn more about activities that will be offered over the summer, including youth sports, summer camps, performing arts programs and more.

Parents will be able to meet with staff members of Westwood Recreation programs and learn more about Westwood Recreation’s summer offerings.

Registration for Westwood Recreation’s summer programs will begin on March 12, with a special 10 percent discount for summer programs paid in full between March 12 and March 15.
