The Westwood Artists, an informal collaborative of makers living in Westwood, are holding their sixth annual gallery show in the main branch of the Westwood Public Library from March 1 to 29. The show features the work of 13 local artists working in various media.

A reception was held on Wednesday, March 6 in the library’s gallery on the second floor. Several artists were present to show and discuss their work hanging in the large gallery space. There was plenty of time during the 5:30-7:00 pm reception to view the artists’ work, learn about the Westwood Artists group, enjoy a cookie, and consider purchasing some artwork.

Make a date with a friend to view the attractive art in various media being presented in the gallery. The show includes watercolors showing charming scenes and colorful flowers, hooked rugs with New England scenes, photographs of lighthouses, playful grapevine wreaths, seascape oil paintings, and other works.

The artists in the show include ceramic artists Jane Wojick and Lisa WB Walker; watercolor painters Carol Ahearn, Andrew Jonic, and Elidi Chan; photographer Karen Flowers Cagan; oil painter Maureen Obey; origami jeweler Kathy O’Donnell; traditional rug maker Bonnie Blomquist; painter and jewelry maker Cindy Senerchia; quilter Zelayna Rauch; felted wreath maker Betsy Husted; and knitter/weaver Kathy Zola.
