Simple recycling ending in Westwood

Due to COVID-19, simple recycling (the pink bags used for textile recycling) will be ending in Westwood. Until next week, residents can use the pink bags for clothes, shoes, belts, and other accessories that can be recycled for other purposes.

The final curbside pickup for the pink textile bags will be on residents' regular trash day from July 13 to July 17. Bags must be out by 7 a.m. on residents' regular pickup day. Residents who wish to recycle items for this last run can pick up additional pink bags in a box outside Westwood Public Works building at 50 Carby Street.

While town officials are looking into alternative curbside pickup in the future, Westwood residents who miss the last pickup day are urged to hold on to recyclable items until Westwood's annual spring and fall recycling days.
