New Life Furniture Bank of Massachusetts will be collecting new and gently used housewares at its truck on Thursday, December 13, between 10:00-2:00 at the Keller Williams Realty office on 680 High St (Route 109) in Westwood.
New Life is a 501(c)3 organization that provides high-quality, gently-used household essentials and furniture at no cost to its MetroWest and Greater Boston clients, including beds for those who need them. For five years New Life has been helping individuals and families in transition and coming out of homelessness, including those escaping domestic abuse, victims of fires and floods, and veterans.
Practical items such as pots and pans, casserole dishes, dishes, flatware, drinking glasses, kitchen utensils, lamps, bath and hand towels, sheet sets, and small countertop appliances such as microwaves, toasters, coffee pots are needed.
Each week, New Life provides 12-14 clients with the essentials to furnish a small apartment. Furniture and houseware donations may be dropped off Saturday mornings at the New Life warehouse loading dock in Walpole at 102 Elm Street between 9:00-11:30.
