Josh and the Jamtones will play two shows at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on April 9 to benefit St. John’s Nursery School in Westwood.
The shows will take place at the Sheehan School at 594 Pond Street, Westwood and is sponsored by Dedham Savings Bank.
Josh and the Jamtones are a Boston-based children’s band with a national following. Their January 2015 film, called Bear Hunt, is the band's first animated film, and they recently announced a partnership with Chuck E. Cheese locations nationwide who will play Josh & the Jamtones videos and music from the new film.
The Jamtones play a mix of ska, reggae, pop, punk, and country mixed with kid-friendly improv comedy.
"Our goal with the Jamtones is to create a totally unique first-music experience that parents can enjoy and share with their kids," explained Wellesley front man Josh Shriber.
The Jamtones have played over 200 shows including the Life is Good festival and Earthfest and released three full-length records.
"A rock and ska sound that is great to jump, clap and jive to, " said The Boston Globe.
In addition to enjoying the Westwood show, a bake sale, and refreshments, attendees can bid on family-friendly silent auction items.

In the fall of 2015, St. John's merged programs with the Clapboardtree Nursery School and now accept children aged 3-4.
Tickets are $10 online and $12 at the door. Children under 1 are free. Tickets can be purchased at http://www.stjohnsnursery.org. Tickets can also be purchased at the door, but they may sell out, so prior purchase is recommended.
